Engineer Qais bin Abdullah Musa Al-Kharousi was appointed to the Board of Directors of Qatar Oman Investment Company as the representative of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman in April 2024. He was elected by the board members as the Vice Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors, thanks to his extensive experience and outstanding leadership skills. Al-Kharousi is a valuable addition to the board, with expectations that he will play a significant role in driving development and achieving the company’s strategic goals in the region.

An Omani national, Al-Kharousi holds a master’s degree in Investment and Finance Management from Columbia University in the United States. He has broad practical experience in investment, which enables him to offer a comprehensive perspective on the global financial landscape. In addition, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, USA, demonstrating his ability to blend technical and managerial skills to deliver optimal results in investment and development operations.

Al-Kharousi holds several leadership positions in Oman. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Purshottam Kanji Exchange and as Vice Chairman of the Board at A’Saffa Foods, S.O.A.G. He is also a Board Member and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Al Ahli Bank in Oman. Previously, he was a member of the Board of Directors at Asyad Group, Oman’s logistics arm and global provider of integrated logistics services, in addition to holding several other leadership roles.

He advanced through several roles, building extensive experience in investment companies across the Sultanate of Oman. Since 2020, he has served as the CEO of Al Hosn Investment Company, a position he continues to hold.
